We’ll be participating next year! We don’t open until this fall, so 2026 is a spectator year for us as a store. That’s fine. We knew going in that the timing wouldn’t line up, and “participate in the Houston Indie Bookstore Crawl” is already on the list for 2027.
In the meantime, I’m participating the other way. I’ve mapped a few routes, and this Saturday, my friend Allison and I are hitting the Inner Loop circuit, a cluster of independent bookstores in and around downtown Houston. Thirty-one stores are involved in the crawl this year across my four routes, plus a handful of standalone stops, so we’re starting where the density is highest and seeing how far we get.
